Creation of the mobile app using the MobileNation platform.

An icon of the Australian cement industry, Cement Australia is the nation’s leading supplier of cement products and services. Given the active DIY build & renovation market, Cement Australia sought to engage directly with consumers through a mobile application for iPhone and Android devices.

Through the provision of a mobile app, Cement Australia places expert advice into the hands of everyday DIY consumers who are on the go. Whether they are in store considering what cement product best suits their needs, or are on-site and require advice on using cement, the mobile app is a handy tool.

Available as both an iOS and Android app, the Cement Australia mobile app reaches a greater number of consumers. The app provides consumers working with cement with:

  • Product awareness and understanding of the Cement Australia brand, and the differentiators within the product line up
  • Calculator for determining which products and how much is required in order to complete a concreting project successfully
  • Easy-to-follow multimedia based instructions for everyday common projects

The final result is a single app available for both iOS and Android phones and built on a common hybrid-HTML5 codebase such that it circumvents issues with Operating System dependence and device fragmentation. The solution was implemented quickly using standard functionality within the MobileNation mobile app development platform.
