Enterprise Java Update - September 2007
CentricMinds Enterprise Java 5.7.0 is now available.
This version introduces a number of new environments that some customers are already utilizing to develop more compelling Internet and Intranet sites with. There are more than 100 enhancements to CentricMinds CMS 5.7.0.
Top 10 Enhancements (Java Edition)
1. Static-Hybrid 2
We have continued to develop and streamline the publishing process.

SH2 is a fast and efficient method for turning complex dynamically driven webs into fast loading and search engine optimized sites. We have also begun efforts to support full static HTML output (see URL above).
2. KML Repository
CentricMinds has developed an interface with Earth browsers such as Google Earth and Google Maps.

Now you can create interactive maps as easily as adding Text Items to your page.
3. RSS Services
CentricMinds has developed an External and Internal RSS repository environment.

You can display RSS feeds like news and content from 3rd party sites within your own site. The Internal RSS repository allows you to turn your content into an RSS feed for external use by other sites.
4. Links Repository
Create and store links as reusable objects. Create a group of links and associate them to any page in the site.

Update the link group, and the displayed links are updated throughout the site dynamically.
5. Drag-and-Drop Form Building
Simply point and double click to choose what type of Form element you want to create, then click and drag the form element around the screen and drop it into place.

Now anyone can be designing and building sophisticated XHTML compliant forms.
6. Form Groups
We have had a number of development requests for form linking in order to create more complex on-line form solutions. Working with a couple of our Resellers, the result is Form Groups.

Build a series of individual forms, then link them together and define how certain values are passed onto the next form, etc. Now you can develop on-line lodgment processes, application forms, multi-part registration forms, and more.
7. Content Listing Control
Most of us are familiar with the News Listing Control. This control has evolved over the last year to become more than just a control to list News items.

The Content Listing Control allows authors to list anything within the list. We hope it will provide immense value with its ability to display dynamic content and filtering options.
8. Geo Repository
Need to publish and manage content in several languages?

Simply add a language to the Geo repository, and a language tab will appear within the authoring environment to allow authors to enter English and alternative language content.
9. Blog Management
There are approximately 100 million blogs on the Internet. More organizations are adopting blogs as a means of creating dialogue both internally within the organization, and externally with customers and the public.

CentricMinds has developed a full Blog publishing and management environment within the CMS. You can setup as many Blogs as you like, and make them both secure and publicly available.
10. Metadata Category searching
Within the Repository environments, authors can now perform more extensive searching through metadata category filtering.
