Six months have passed since we surmised the state of the average corporate Intranet. Is the current corporate Intranet even relevant anymore?

Has the advent of the enterprise Wiki gained enough traction to unheel the almost now defunct idea that a corporate Intranet even warrants a seat on the board of Enterprise Applications within any organization?

If we switched off the Intranet, would five thousand people notice?

Within an organization where a Wiki has become the default environment for content creation and knowledge exchange, the answer would be “No, we’d forgotten about the incumbent Intranet platform long ago”.

Democracy is an amazing thing, and its influence within any organization is obvious around the digital tools that any society chooses to ensure productivity is managed and achieved.

How do organizations deal with radical individuals who view a Wiki as an opportunity to promote extremism? Most organizations enforce policies for their content authors contributing to the Wiki. Usually the result of a litigious publish is dealt with severe consequence.
