The CentricMinds Enterprise Web Content Management System (WCMS) empowers authors with an intuitive and powerful in-context content creation and publishing environment that has been designed from the ground up to enable non-technical business authors to take back control of their web assets.

Web Content Management deals with both structured and unstructured content such as documents, rich media (images, video and audio) as well as text-based content created by authors.

Web Content Authoring
The CentricMinds Enterprise Web Content Management System (WCMS) provides both a structured authoring framework based on metadata driven Content Type templates, as well as an unstructured authoring environment based on a WYSIWYG in-context authoring environment that controls where authors can place content within a page.

Structured authoring enables Site Administrators to enforce content authoring and publishing across single or multiple sites. The Role based security model enforces which authors can select from Content Type templates made available to them from Site Administrators.

The unstructured authoring environment provides a WYSIWYG authoring environment that allows non-technical authors to develop pages by choosing from a library of controls (Centric Controls) and dropping them into the page. An example of these Centric Controls includes Blog, Forms, Personalization, RSS Feeds, Media, Google Gadgets and more. There are more than 100 controls that authors can choose from in developing their web page.

Web Content Management
At the heart of the CentricMinds Enterprise Web Content Management System (WCMS) are version controlled content repositories. The File, Media, Text, Page and Site Repositories provide authors with dedicated environments for importing and controlling content in meeting their authoring and publishing needs. Each repository view provides integrated search, category browsing and versioning management over content resources. Authors can search for content explicitly, browse for content via the category browser and perform functions such as check in, check out, rollback, revert and compare.
