Work directly from Microsoft Office and Outlook

From within Microsoft (Office 2003, 2007 & 2010 supported) Word, Excel and PowerPoint, enable business users to create, open, modify and save documents directly into the CentricMinds Document Management repository.

From within Outlook, capture email correspondence relating to a particular project or client through email check-in to the CentricMinds Document Management repository.

Drag and drop document publishing

Empower non-technical business users to become competent document managers through drag and drop publishing. The CentricMinds desktop client enables users to simply select documents and then drag them into corresponding folders.

Documents are published with corresponding metadata (based on the profile of the user) into the CentricMinds Document Management repository.

Document Version Control

All documents published to the CentricMinds Document Management repository adhere to strict versioning. Supporting check-in, check-out, rollback, restore and revert, document control prevents authors from overwriting each other's work and creates an audit trail of who did want to the document and when. Document authors can also compare different versions of the document side by side and CentricMinds will highlight what changes have been made between various versions.

Apply customised metadata through 'metaplates'

CentricMinds provides a powerful and flexible metadata management environment. Authors can create metadata templates, 'metaplates' for short, that are fully customized collections of elements and thesauri.

Organisations can create their own taxonomies for classifying documents. In addition to the traditional use of metadata, CentricMinds enhances the management of documents through taxonomic hierachies and dynamic document listings.

Document indexing and faceted search

All documents published to the CentricMinds Document Management repository are fully indexed. Users can quickly search and discover documents using full-text or natural language queries. Search results can be displayed in simple format or as a faceted result, displaying results based on their associated metadata categorization. Users can choose to view the native version of the document, or as a HTML rendered view which also displays highlighting of located phrases and terms within the view.
