Due to the number of complex websites and critical assistance provided to the community, it became critical for CFS to install an integrated and scalable Content Management System, Intranet and Extranet Solution that would be used as a critical communication platform.
The new Content Management System would serve the community with timely and precise information with the aim of helping to save lives. Volunteers and staff would rely on the Intranet and Extranet as a critical information source when devastating bushfires happen.
Non-technical communications and support staff were required to manage complex data and content with ease of use within the content management system.
As a consequence of CentricMinds application programming interface, CFS had full access to business applications including incident warning systems, a portal for CFS volunteers and extensive mapping feeds from Google.
The Amazon Web Services infrastructure enabled CFS to dynamically scale the solution based on the number of pageviews and entries loaded to the site at any given time.
The unique single content management system enables non-technical users to perform content authoring tasks effortlessly across multiple sites.
CFS website was able to serve 6.3M page views within a 9 day period during a significant bushfire event, testimony to the robust and scalable nature of the CentricMinds Enterprise Content Management platform.
CentricMinds was able to deliver a complex Intranet and Extranet that narrowed the communication gap between volunteers and staff, improved content publishing processes and provided real-time fire information. CFS instantly communicates and shares up to minute warnings with communities, staff and volunteers.
