HBF Health Mobile app

Creation of the mobile app using the MobileNation platform.

The HBF Health mobile app provides users on the go with a quick and easy tool to locate and contact approved health specialists including Dental, Optical, Contact Lens, Medical and Hospitals throughout Western Australia. Users are also able to locate HBF branches based on their geo-location.

With 900,000 members, HBF required a mobile application that would reach as many users as possible across multiple devices. HBF selected the MobileNation Enterprise publishing platform from CentricMinds. Working alongside HBF, CentricMinds delivered a multi-platform solution that provides geo-aware data and services for users on the go.

Phase one of the multi-tiered data driven strategy was to make use of HBF's database of approved health specialists. The app provides mobile users with contact information for healthcare professionals within their surrounding location and by discipline, and enables members to call their nearest service provider with just a few taps.

The single mobile application runs on iPhone, iPad, Android Phones, Android Tablets as well as being made available as a Mobile Web App which can be run in a modern web browser. This enables the HBF application to reach a greater number of users from the single application investment. As mobile devices evolve the HBF mobile app will maintain compatibility and support new devices as they emerge. Unlike traditional native apps, MobileNation acts as a layer of abstraction between the application and the hardware delivering greater reach and flexibility.

MobileNation Enterprise integrates with HBF's existing web services and information infrastructure allowing the organisation to leverage data for delivery to mobile consumers.
